Here is our
programme of four concerts for 2026 (please keep scrolling down!):
FRIDAY 29 MAY 2026 LEONKORO
STRING QUARTET

“This
quartet is already one of the finest:
perfectly unanimous, colourful and original..”
Alfred Brendel
Founded in 2019 in Berlin, the Leonkoro Quartet has garnered widespread praise
and numerous accolades including First Prize in the 2022 Wigmore Hall
International String Quartet competition. It is rapidly becoming one of
the most exciting ensembles on the international scene, with a reputation for
technical excellence and thoughtful, impassioned performances.
Henriëtte
Bosmans:
String Quartet (1927)
Mendelssohn: Quartet no. 2 in A minor, Op. 13
Schubert: Quartet No. 14 in D minor, D 810
(‘Death and the Maiden’)
FRIDAY 19 JUNE RYAN WANG (SOLO PIANO)

His interpretation of Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2: “absolutely
cursive, producing drawings where the pencil never leaves the page.”
The Times
Canadian pianist Ryan Wang captivated audiences worldwide when he won the 2024
BBC Young Musician competition. His success in the competition at the age
of 17 followed an already long list of international prizes and accolades;
he had already made history that year as the youngest-ever recipient of
the prestigious Prix Cortot award.
He has appeared in recital and with orchestra across Europe and Asia.
Schubert: Four
Impromptus, D. 899, Op. 90
Chopin: Five Preludes (nos. 19 - 24), Op. 28
Mussorgsky:
Pictures at an Exhibition
FRIDAY 17 JULY LA SERENISSIMA (BAROQUE
ENSEMBLE)

We
are delighted that La Serenissima will return to Naunton for another evening of
baroque brilliance. The ensemble is the UK’s leading voice in Italian
Baroque, with every note brought to life from original manuscripts. Founded in
1994 by violinist Adrian Chandler, the group has racked up Gramophone Awards,
chart-topping albums and millions of streams. La Serenissima’s recordings are
regulars on BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and beyond.
The programme will include works for three violins, cello and harpsichord by
Blow, Vivaldi, Telemann, Leclair,
Fux and Purcell.
FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER I FAGIOLINI (CHORAL ENSEMBLE)

“This is serious musicianship that never
takes itself too seriously - the Holy Grail of concert-going.”
The Spectator
In
1986 a student vocal group gave its first concert with an eclectic a cappella
mix of Monteverdi, Grieg and the Fairy Liquid jingle. 40 years on,
Monteverdi has remained a constant and Robert Hollingworth and I Fagiolini have
gone on to rethink exactly what a vocal group does…..
A 40th Anniversary programme featuring works by Victoria, Wilbye, Weelkes,
Senfl, Vecchi, Monteverdi,
Howells, Skempton, Williams, Marsh, Lesur and Ferré
